Mark Scott alleges deeper Konstantin lies, wants to delay case

OneCoin cash launderer Mark Scott is alleging Konstantin Ignatov’s perjury is “way more in depth” than he admitted.

In consequence, Scott desires to delay proceedings associated to his new trial movement.

On the heart of Scott’s retrial movement is Konstantin Ignatov mendacity about throwing away a laptop computer.

Now, via his lawyer, Scott alleges he’s

acquired credible data that Konstantin’s perjury was way more in depth than he has admitted, and included false testimony that Irina Dilkinska attended a three-way assembly with Ruja Ignatova and Mark Scott on July 20, 2016 at OneCoin workplaces in Sofia, Bulgaria.

The DOJ exhibited this assembly as proof “Scott was an insider who participated in (OneCoin) legal conspiracies”.

As of but the DOJ hasn’t proven any indication it’s conscious of deeper perjury by Ignatov.

Scott (proper) was convicted of cash laundering for OneCoin in late 2019. Initially scheduled to be sentenced in February 2020, Scott has been delaying proceedings on medical grounds.

He’s now latched onto Kostantin’s perjury, evidently hoping for leverage to additional delay proceedings.

In his letter movement Scott requests an extension until October fifteenth to answer to the DOJ’s response to his retrial movement.

The DOJ hasn’t opposed the request.

Whether or not there’s any benefit to Scott’s claims Konstantin additional perjured himself stays to be seen. Ditto any affect with respect to Scott getting a brand new trial.
