$39.95 a month marketing tools recruitment

Level Up 247 provides no information on its website about who owns or runs the business.

The company’s website advises Level Up 247 is in “worldwide prelaunch”. The prelaunch timer however has reached zero.

A marketing video on Level Up 247’s website features Jordan Lear:

This marketing video reveals Level Up 247’s official launch was supposed to take place on July 31st.

On Facebook Jordan Lear goes by “Jordan JL Wright”. She is married to Dave Lear.

The Lears live in the US state of Maryland, which is where Level Up 247 operates from.

I’m not familiar with Jordan Lear (she married in 2020), but Dave Lear has featured on BehindMLM before.

Lear (right) last appeared on BehindMLM in 2018, as co-founder of A Great Life.

A Great Life was a weight loss tea MLM company focused on autoship recruitment.

Prior to A Great Life Lear co-founded The Elite Networker in 2015.

Earlier that same year Lear and the other The Elite Networker co-founders launched Total Takeover.

Both The Elite Networker and Total Takeover operated as pyramid schemes and collapsed shortly after launch.

In 2020 what was left of A Great Life was sold off to Total Life Changes, another weight loss tea MLM company.

By that stage Dave and Jordan were together. At the time of the merger Jordan Lear stated “TLC was everything they have been looking for in a company”.

That was May 2020. Fast forward a year and now we have Level Up 247.

Read on for a full review of Level Up 247’s MLM opportunity.

Level Up 247’s Compensation Plan

Level Up 247’s compensation plan pays on the sale of $39.95 monthly subscriptions to retail customers and recruited affiliates.

Direct Referral/Recruitment Commissions

Level Up 247 affiliates earn $25 on the first $39.95 subscription payment made by a referred retail customer or recruited affiliate.

Level Up Bonuses

Level Up Bonuses extend referral and recruitment commissions through two levels of recruitment.

Qualification for Level Up Bonus ranks are as follows:

  • Level Up Pro – maintain a $39.95 monthly subscription and refer/recruit and maintain ten active retail customers/recruited affiliates
  • Level Up Ambassador – maintain a $39.95 monthly subscription and refer/recruit and maintain twenty active retail customers/recruited affiliates

Once qualified at either rank above, the following Level Up Bonuses are available:

  • Level Up Pro ranked affiliates earn an extra $5 direct referral/recruitment commission on level 1 and 2
  • Level Up Ambassador ranked affiliates earn an extra $5 direct referral/recruitment commission on levels 1 to 3

These levels refer to unilevel team levels, used to track Level Up 247 downlines.

  • level 1 refers to personally referred retail customers and recruited affiliates
  • level 2 refers to retail customers and affiliates referred/recruited by your level 1 affiliates
  • level 3 refers to retail customers and affiliates referred/recruited by your level 2 affiliates

Residual Commissions

Level Up 247 pays residual commissions via a binary compensation structure.

A binary compensation structure places an affiliate at the top of a binary team, split into two sides (left and right):

The first level of the binary team houses two positions. The second level of the binary team is generated by splitting these first two positions into another two positions each (4 positions).

Subsequent levels of the binary team are generated as required, with each new level housing twice as many positions as the previous level.

Positions in the binary team are filled via direct and indirect recruitment of affiliates. Note there is no limit to how deep a binary team can grow.

Each monthly $39.95 subscription payment made across the binary team generates 40 BV on the side payment was made.

A $10 residual commission is paid per 40 BV matched on both sides of the binary team each week.

Note that residual commissions are paid from second $39.95 monthly payments (the first payment is paid out as a referral/recruitment commission).

Once paid out on, BV is flushed from both sides of the binary team. Leftover BV on the stronger binary team side carries into the following week.

Joining Level Up 247

Level Up 247 affiliate membership is $30.

The company “recommends” affiliates qualify for commissions by also paying $39.95 a month for Level Up 247’s marketing system.

Level Up 247 Conclusion

The major red flag with marketing tools MLM companies is the marketing tools being used mostly to promote the opportunity itself.

Affiliates sign up, pay a fee and get paid to recruit others who do the same.

Recruitment is facilitated either through the paid-for marketing system or other means.

In this scenario there is little to no retail use of the marketing system, and therefore little to no retail payments made across the company.

Level Up 247 actively discourage retail commissions, instead “recommending” affiliates just pay $39.95 a month to qualify for commissions.

The first mention of qualification in Level Up 247’s compensation plan doesn’t mention anything about alternative qualification.

Further down in the compensation plan documentation, it is revealed retail volume is penalized at a 4:1 ratio.

Get qualified by personally being active and using our products at 40 BV OR referring a minimum 160 BV of product to active customers per month.

This alone is enough to guarantee the majority of Level Up 247 affiliates will qualify for commissions via a monthly self-payment.

This on its own isn’t problematic, but it is when it comes at the expense of retail.

What you wind up is a company in which affiliates pay a monthly fee, and get paid on recruited affiliates who do the same.

This is your classic pyramid scheme.

That retail exists within Level Up 247 at all is pseudo-compliance.

Compliance could be addressed by firstly doing away with the 4:1 retail volume penalty for commission qualification. Then either a 1:1 or 2:1 requirement for active retail customer subscriptions per affiliate.

If affiliates don’t meet this criteria, they don’t get paid.

Of course steps like this won’t be introduced, because Level Up 247 is designed to run as a pyramid scheme.

One need only look at Dave Lear’s MLM history to uncover a string of failed pyramid schemes.

As with all MLM pyramid schemes, once affiliate recruitment dries up so too will monthly payments.

This in turn will see commissions slow down before eventually stopping altogether.

MLM pyramid schemes always collapse, inevitably resulting in the majority of participants losing money.
