Agravitae Review: Graviola supplements from Belize


Agravitae operates in the nutritional supplement MLM niche.

The company was founded in 2022 and is based out of California.

Heading up Agravitae we have founder Ken Owen (aka Kenneth Owen).

As per Owen’s Agravitae corporate bio;

Ken Owen, founder of Agravitae, grew up on a small farm in Oregon. After a prolific career in marketing and real estate, Ken knew he always wanted to return to his roots.

Soon enough he discovered what is now TKO farms – a hardwood and tropical fruit farm in Tea Kettle, Belize.

Some additional information Owen’s employment history is revealed in a June 2022 PR interview with Ideamensch;

After graduating from school, Ken landed in Palm Springs and began his career in land development.

As he cultivated new business relationships, he found that he had a skill set well-suited to sales.

This led him to a position with AT&T, which eventually brought him to Los Angeles.

It was here that Ken became one of the largest distributors of the then-new technology of voice over internet protocol (VOIP).

In California, Ken continued to learn all he could about investments and land development. Initially, he invested in several businesses, and while some worked out and went public, others did not do as well.

However, whether successful or unsuccessful, each opportunity provided him with more education in real time, and Ken took every lesson to heart.

The skills acquired through these transactions would eventually lead Kenneth Owen to the success he has found today.

Owen’s transition to TKO Farms seems to have come about in or around 2017.

As far as I can tell, Owen doesn’t have any MLM executive history prior to founding Agravitae.

Agravitae markets a range of nutritional supplements built around key ingredient graviola, also known as soursop.

Agravitae products that don’t specifically mention graviola as a key ingredient include:

Note that Agravitae’s products are also available in bundles. Agravitae’s bundles top out at $1000 for 50 samples of AM Boost & Burn and PM Rest & Restore.

Agravitae’s Compensation Plan

Agravitae do not provide consumers with compensation details on their website.

The following analysis is from Agravitae’s official compensation documentation, independently sourced from a promoter in March 2024.

Agravitae Affiliate Ranks

There are nine ranks within Agravitae’s compensation plan.

Along with their respective qualification criteria, they are as follows:

  1. Social Retailer – sign up as an Agravitae affiliate and generate 100 PV a month
  2. Manager – recruit two Social Retailers and generate 5000 GV a month (no more than 90% from any one recruitment leg)
  3. Senior Manager – maintain two personally recruited Social Retailers and generate 10,000 GV a month (no more than 70% from any one recruitment leg)
  4. Director – maintain two personally recruited Social Retailers and generate 20,000 GV a month (no more than 50% from any one recruitment leg)
  5. Senior Director – recruit three Social Retailers and generate 50,000 GV a month (no more than 50% from any one recruitment leg)
  6. Executive – maintain three personally recruited Social Retailers and generate 50,000 GV a month (no more than 40% from any one recruitment leg)
  7. Senior Executive – recruit four Social Retailers and generate 100,000 GV a month (no more than 40% from any one recruitment leg)
  8. Executive Ambassador – maintain four personally recruited Social Retailers and generate 250,000 GV a month no more than 40% from any one recruitment leg)
  9. Crown Ambassador – recruit five Social Retailers and generate 500,000 GV a month (no more than 40% from any one recruitment leg)

PV stands for “Personal Volume”. PV is sales volume generated by retail sales and an affiliate’s own orders.

GV stands for “Group Volume”. GV is an affiliate’s own PV and that of their downline.

Retail Commissions

Agravitae pays commissions on sales to retail customers.

Retail commission rates are determined by how much retail sales volume an Agravitae affiliate generates from month to month:

  • generate up to 1999 PV in monthly retail order volume and earn a 10% retail commission rate
  • generate 2000 to 4999 PV in monthly retail order volume and earn a 15% retail commission rate
  • generate 5000 to 9999 PV in monthly retail order volume and earn a 20% retail commission rate
  • generate 10,000 to 19,999 PV in retail order volume and earn a 25% retail commission rate
  • generate 20,000 to 29,999 PV in retail order volume and earn a 30% retail commission rate
  • generate 30,000 or more PV in retail order volume and earn a 35% retail commission rate

Note that while required retail PV is calculated monthly, Agravitae pays retail commissions out weekly.

Recruitment Commissions

Agravitae pays a 25% commission on sales order volume generated by personally recruited affiliates.

Note that recruitment commissions are only paid out for the first twelve weeks from when an affiliate is recruited.

Residual Commissions

Agravitae pays recruitment commissions via a unilevel compensation structure.

A unilevel compensation structure places an affiliate at the top of a unilevel team, with every personally recruited affiliate placed directly under them (level 1):

If any level 1 affiliates recruit new affiliates, they are placed on level 2 of the original affiliate’s unilevel team.

If any level 2 affiliates recruit new affiliates, they are placed on level 3 and so on and so forth down a theoretical infinite number of levels.

Agravitae caps payable unilevel team levels at seven.

Residual commissions are paid as a percentage of sales volume generated across these seven levels based on rank:

  • Managers to Directors earn 7% on levels 1 to 3
  • Senior Directors and higher earn 7% on levels 1 to 4 and 6% on levels 5 to 7

Leadership Pool

Agravitae takes 3% of company-wide sales volume and places it into the Leadership Pool.

The Leadership Pool is paid out through shares which correspond with rank:

  • Directors receive one share in the Leadership Pool
  • Senior Directors receive two shares in the Leadership Pool
  • Executives receive three shares in the Leadership Pool
  • Senior Executives receive five shares in the Leadership Pool
  • Executive Ambassadors receive seven shares in the Leadership Pool
  • Crown Ambassadors receive ten shares in the Leadership Pool

Rank Achievement Bonus

Agravitae rewards affiliates for qualifying at Director and higher with the following one-time Rank Achievement Bonuses:

  1. qualify at Director and receive $1000
  2. qualify at Senior Director and receive $2000
  3. qualify at Executive and receive $12,500 (paid out over two months)
  4. qualify a Senior Executive and receive $25,000 (paid out over two months)
  5. qualify at Executive Ambassador and receive $100,000 (paid out over 3 months)
  6. qualify at Crown Ambassador and receive $500,000 (paid out over 10 months)

Joining Agravitae

Agravitae do not openly disclose joining costs to consumers.

Agravitae Conclusion

Agravitae do some things right with disclosures but also withhold crucial information from consumers.

From what I gather, Agravitae is Ken Owen putting his TKO farms produce to use. Owen owns both TKO farms from which raw ingredients for Agravitae’s products are sourced, as well as Agravitae itself.

This is full disclosed on Agravitae’s website so I don’t have a problem with the ethics of it.

Company ownership details are readily disclosed, as well as full retail pricing for consumers.

Then we have crucial aspects of Agravitae’s MLM opportunity hidden from consumers, namely joining costs and compensation details.

I don’t know what the story is there but it leaves consumers unable to make an informed decision about Agravitae.

I have to put a question mark on joining costs. From what I was able to gather newly recruited Agravitae affiliates have to put in a product order, or at least the option to order is presented during the sign up process.

Whether there are any additional and/or ongoing costs is unknown.

As to Agravitae’s products, soursop MLM opportunities are nothing new:

It should be noted that none of these MLM companies are still in business. Soursop/Graviola supplements are also readily available on retailer websites and through health supplement retail stores.

Agravitae’s strength here is in controlling the farming of their fruit and manufacturing. How important this is to you I can’t answer but would potentially indicate a higher grade of quality.

That said we are mostly talking about dried supplements so any measurable differences with respect to nutritional values may be negligible.

One product I thought would probably be a hard sell are Agravitae’s cacao bars. $12 for one bar seems a bit rich (no pun intended).

Chocolate is a selling point for these bars and as someone with a sweet tooth, I couldn’t see myself choosing a $12 85 g bar over a few blocks of decent quality chocolate.

Moving onto Agravitae’s compensation plan, things are pretty straightforward with neither an unbalanced focus on retail sales or recruitment.

One obvious point of improvement over tiered retail commissions is the inclusion of mandatory retail sales volume tied to affiliate ranks.

At least half of required PV at each rank should be required retail sales volume, preferably more.

Without any ratios hardcoded into the compensation plan, consumers are forced to ascertain for themselves how their upline is running their Agravitae business.

As a prospective Agravitae affiliate, you want to find out how much your potential upline is ordering each month. Then you want to compare this to their average generated retail order volume over the past few months.

There’s should be nothing secretive about this information so take any hesitation to provide you with data as a red flag.

Why this is important pertains to Agravitae potentially operating as a pyramid scheme. With no required retail volume, it’s possible for Agravitae affiliates to ignore retail and just focus on recruitment.

Typically this would involve autoship recruitment, wherein Agravitae affiliates are only autoship and getting paid to recruit affiliates also on autoship.

To be clear, there’s nothing wrong with affiliate recruitment and autoship in and of itself – provided equivalent retail sales order volume is also being generated.

Personally I’d put down the brakes on signing up with Agravitae unless you’re able to confirm:

  • joining costs
  • compensation details and
  • your potential upline’s retail/order ratio

Pending Agravitae addressing its disclosure failings, which are potential FTC Act violations, approach with caution.
