Ahead of the scheduled July trial, it’s looking like a settlement between the FTC and 8 Figure Dream Lifestyle defendants is likely.
In a stipulation filed on June 3rd, the FTC advised it is in settlement negotiations with defendants 8 Figure Dream Lifestyle LLC, JL Net Bargains, Inc., Kappy Enterprises LLC, Millionaire Mind Enterprises LLC, Spirit Consulting Group, Inc., John A. Bain, Alex Dee, Brian M. Kaplan and Jerrold S. Maurer.
A final settlement has been drafted, which will now be presented to the FTC’s Commissioners to vote on.
In light of the settlement negotiations, a stipulated 60 day stay on proceeds has been sought.
The stay was granted on June 8th, staying the 8 Figure Dream Lifestyle case for 60 days.
Pending settlement approval and details of the individual settlements reached being made public, stay tuned…
Update 21st August 2020 – Another settlement extension stipulation was filed on August 5th.
The stipulation was granted on August 7th, freezing the 8 Figure Dream Lifestyle case for another 30 days.
I’ve scheduled our next case docket check for September 8th.
Update 8th September 2020 – A $31.9 million dollar proposed settlement has been submitted for approval.
