Bulavita reboot comes up short

Mfinity Global follows the collapse of Bulavita last month.

Bulavita emerged after LaCore Enterprises bought Wakaya Perfection in late 2019.

Under LaCore Enterprises nothing much happened with Bulavita. Then in April  2021 Bulavita entered into a partnership with Juuva.

Two months later Bulavita cut ties with Juuva. Mfinity Global is a relaunch of what’s left.

Mfinity Global provides no information about who owns or runs the company on its website.

From the marketing announcement last month though, we know Todd Smith and Bill Andreoli are running the company.

Corporate transparency has been an ongoing issue with Mfinity Global, dating back to Wakaya Perfection and David Gilmour.

Nothing about whatever deal with LaCore Enterprises was ever disclosed. Things didn’t get any better with Juuva and now here we are.

Whether there are any silent ownership partners in Mfinity Global is unclear. The company’s public transparency remains an issue.

Read on for a full review of Mfinity Global’s MLM opportunity.

Mfinity Global’s Compensation Plan

Mfinity Global do not provide the public with a copy of their compensation plan on their website.

The following analysis is put together from an Mfinity Global presentation by Bill Andreoli in early June.

Mfinity Global Affiliate Ranks

There are ten affiliate ranks within Mfinity Global’s compensation plan.

Along with their respective qualification criteria, they are as follows:

  • IBA – sign up as an Mfinity Global affiliate
  • Active IBA – generate and maintain 80 PV a month
  • Coral – maintain 80 PV, generate 250 GV a month and recruit and maintain two personally recruited Active IBAs or higher
  • Jade – generate and maintain 100 PV and 1000 GV a month, and maintain two personally recruited Active IBAs or higher
  • Sapphire – maintain 100 PV a month, generate and maintain 2500 GV a month and maintain two personally recruited Active IBAs or higher
  • Ruby – generate and maintain 150 PV and 7500 GV a month, and recruit and maintain three Active IBAs or higher
  • Emerald – maintain 150 PV a month, generate and maintain 25,000 GV a month and recruit and maintain five Active IBAs or higher
  • Diamond – maintain 150 PV a month, generate and maintain 75,000 GV a month and maintain five personally recruited Active IBAs or higher
  • Blue Diamond – maintain 150 PV a month, generate and maintain 200,000 GV a month and maintain five personally recruited Active IBAs or higher
  • Black Diamond – maintain 150 PV a month, generate and maintain 500,000 GV a month and maintain five personally recruited Active IBAs or higher

PV stands for “Personal Volume” and is sales volume generated by retail sales and an affiliate’s own purchases.

GV stands for “Group Volume” and is PV generated by an affiliate and their downline.

With respect to recruitment requirements, from Emerald there’s a disconnect between “personally enrolled” and “Active IBA legs”.

Emerald, for example, requires two personally enrolled and five Active IBA legs.

Unless Mfinity Global is using some weird definition of an Active IBA leg, you need five personally recruited affiliates minimum to have five legs (active or otherwise).

As such I’ve ignored the difference and rolled these two requirements into one (five recruits from Emerald).

Retail Commissions

Mfinity Global affiliates earn a 20% commission on products ordered by retail customers.

10% is paid out on preferred customer orders (retail customers on monthly autoship).

Residual Commissions

Mfinity Global pays residual commissions via a unilevel compensation structure.

A unilevel compensation structure places an affiliate at the top of a unilevel team, with every personally recruited affiliate placed directly under them (level 1):

If any level 1 affiliates recruit new affiliates, they are placed on level 2 of the original affiliate’s unilevel team.

If any level 2 affiliates recruit new affiliates, they are placed on level 3 and so on and so forth down a theoretical infinite number of levels.

Mfinity Global caps payable unilevel team levels at seven.

Residual commissions are paid as a percentage of sales volume generated across these seven levels based on rank:

  • Active IBAs earn 10% on level 1 (personally recruited affiliates)
  • Corals earn 10% on levels 1 and 2
  • Jades earn 10% on levels 1 and 2 and 5% on level 2
  • Sapphires earn 10% on levels 1 and 2 and 5% on levels 3 and 4
  • Rubys earn 10% on levels 1 and 2, 5% on levels 3 to 5 and 3% on level 6
  • Emeralds earn 10% on levels 1 and 2, 5% on levels 3 to 5 and 3% on level 6
  • Diamonds and higher earn 10% on levels 1 and 2, 5% on levels 3 to 5, 3% on level 6 and 2% on level 7

90 Day Fast Start Bonus

Mfinity Global affiliates receive a Fast Start Bonus if they qualify for Coral, Jade and/or Sapphire within their first ninety days.

  • qualify as a Coral and receive $25
  • qualify as a Jade and receive $75
  • qualify as a Sapphire and receive $200

I believe the 90 Day Fast Start Bonus stacks if all three ranks are qualified for within the specified time limit.

First Order Bonus

The First order Bonus is a recruitment bonus paid on the first order made by a recruited affiliate (includes signing up with a product pack).

There are two components to the First Order Bonus, a residual bonus and a generational bonus.

First Order Bonus Residual

The residual component of the First Order Bonus is paid down three levels of recruitment (unilevel).

The residual First Order Bonus is paid as a percentage of sales volume generated by a newly recruited affiliate’s first order.

  • 25% is paid to the recruiting affiliate (upline level 1)
  • 4% is paid to the first Emerald or higher upline
  • 3% is paid to the first Sapphire or higher upline

First Order Bonus Generational

The generational component of the First Order Bonus appears to pay only on product packs purchased by newly recruited affiliates.

From what I can tell each product pack tier pays a specific amount to Ruby and higher ranked affiliates.

These bonuses are paid on sequential basis, i.e. to the first higher ranked affiliate found upline in a sequential order.

  • recruitment of a Basic Product Pack affiliate pays $15 to the first Ruby, $35 to the first Emerald, $7 to the first Diamond, $5 to the first Blue Diamond and $5 to the first Black Diamond
  • recruitment of a Super Product Pack affiliate pays $30 to the first Ruby, $70 to the first Emerald, $14 to the first Diamond, $10 to the first Blue Diamond and $10 to the first Black Diamond
  • recruitment of a Mega Product Pack affiliate pays $60 to the first Ruby, 140 to the first Emerald, $28 to the first Diamond, $20 to the first Blue Diamond and $20 to the first Black Diamond

Note that the generational component of the First Order Bonus is coded.

This means that higher ranked affiliates, if found upline first, are able to pick up lower tier payments that haven’t been paid out yet.

Global Infinity Leadership Pools

Mfinity Global takes 12% of company-wide revenue each month and places it into four rank-based Global Infinity Leadership Pools.

  • Emerald ranked affiliates each earn an equal share in a 3% pool
  • Diamond ranked affiliates each earn an equal share in a 3% pool
  • Blue Diamond ranked affiliates each earn an equal share in a 3% pool
  • Black Diamond ranked affiliates each earn an equal share in a 3% pool

Lifestyle Bonus

The Lifestyle Bonus is a monthly cash bonus awarded to Ruby and higher ranked affiliates.

  • Rubys receive a $300 Lifestyle Bonus
  • Emeralds receive a $400 Lifestyle Bonus
  • Diamonds receive an $600 Lifestyle Bonus
  • Blue Diamonds receive an $800 Lifestyle Bonus
  • Black Diamonds receive a $1000 Lifestyle Bonus

Joining Mfinity Global

Basic Mfinity Global affiliate membership is $49.95 and then $35 annually

Alternatively, new Mfinity Global affiliates can sign up with a product pack:

  • Basic Core Starter or Basic Fast Loss & Fitness Starter Packs – $299.95
  • Super Fast Loss or Fitness Starter Packs – $499.95
  • Ultimate Starter Pack – $899.95

The difference between the product packs is bundled Mfinity Global products.

Note that the $49.95 annual fee is waived with the purchase of a product pack but the $35 annual fee still applies after the first year.

Mfinity Global Conclusion

It’s difficult to know whether to see Mfinity Global as a testament to perseverance, or the result of continuous systematic failure.

Perhaps both are applicable.

Having gone through four transitions now, clearly there are elephants in the room that need to be addressed.

Have they been addressed? No idea, which brings us to the ongoing issue of transparency.

I get the feeling that Todd Smith and Bill Andreoli are working so hard to keep what’s left of the company together, that there simply isn’t any time to address the public on what’s going on.

This is reflected in Mfinity Global’s corporate culture, which is completely absent from the company website and has been for some time.

On the compensation side of things there are some tweaks but the ability to focus on affiliate autoship recruitment remains a problem.

This was flagged in BehindMLM’s original Wakaya Perfection review, published way back in 2015.

As to the Wakaya Perfection compensation plan, distinct undertones of chain-recruitment and affiliate autoship recruitment are present.

Right off the bat, perusal of Wakaya Perfection’s affiliate ranks reveals no retail volume qualifiers. Infact the only qualifiers are PV (which can be met via autoship), recruitment of new affiliates and GV (which can be met by recruited affiliate autoship).

The recruitment commissions paid out on Paradise Pack affiliate recruitment is straight up chain-recruitment.

Substitute the “Paradise Pack” with Mfinity Global’s product packs and nothing has changed.

Given other tweaks to the compensation plan, I can only surmise this is intentional. Compared to other MLM companies with retail volume qualifiers and retail customer requirements, this just isn’t good enough.

Also not good enough is not providing consumers with a copy of your compensation plan on your website. This is a potential violation of the FTC Act.

The comment discussion on our original Wakaya Perfection review are also worth a read. I’m unconvinced Fijian ginger is noticeably different to regular ginger.

Muscadine grapes is Mfinity Global’s other drawcard. The company markets it as “the world’s best antioxidant”.

Grapes do feature on superfood lists (WebMD example) but I didn’t see anything specific to muscadine, at least not generally speaking (if you go looking for muscadine there’s obviously tons of curated marketing).

One documented health benefit of muscadine grape consumption is “resting brachial diameter”. Not sure how useful that is and nobody else seems to either.

Anyway, at least as far as raw nutrients go, muscadine grapes obviously provide some benefit in a balanced diet. There are plenty of alternatives around though so do your homework.

As a whole Mfinity needs improvement as an MLM opportunity. As a startup these oversights could be forgiven with a look towards improvement.

For Smith and Andreoli, who are by all accounts industry veterans, there are no excuses. Mfinity Global comes up inexcusably short.

Update 7th October 2022 – Mfinity Global has been sold off to Kannaway’s parent company Medical Marijuana.
