Recharge and Get Paid Review: Recharge cards and recruitment

Recharge and Get Paid operates in the ecommerce MLM niche.

The company appears to be based out of Nigeria, however no ownership details are provided on Recharge and Get Paid’s website.

Recharge and Get Paid’s website domain (“rechargeandgetpaid.com”) was initially registered in 2015. The domain registration details were last updated on October 27th, 2019.

No ownership details are provided in the domain registration.

As always, if an MLM company is not openly upfront about who is running or owns it, think long and hard about joining and/or handing over any money.

Recharge and Get Paid’s Products

Recharge and Get Paid has no retailable products or services, with affiliates only able to market Recharge and Get Paid affiliate membership itself.

Recharge and Get Paid’s website suggests that various service recharge cards might be bundled with affiliate membership. No specific details however are provided.

Recharge and Get Paid’s Compensation Plan

Recharge and Get Paid affiliates purchase positions in a 3×10 matrix. Commissions are paid when they recruit others who do the same.

All in all there are seven tiers of 3×10 matrices within Recharge and Get Paid’s compensation plan.

Each tier it attached to a Recharge and Get Paid affiliate membership buy-in package.

  • Basic – ₦5000
  • Bronze – ₦10,000
  • Silver – ₦20,000
  • Gold – ₦30,000
  • Diamond – ₦40,000
  • Platinum – ₦50,000
  • Executive – ₦100,000

A 3×10 matrix places an affiliate at the top of a matrix, with three positions directly under them:

These three positions make up the first level of the matrix. The second level of the matrix is generated by splitting these first three positions into another three positions each (9 positions).

Levels three to ten of the matrix are generated in the same manner, with each new level of the matrix housing three times as many positions as the previous level.

Positions in the matrix are filled via direct and indirect recruitment of new Recharge and Get Paid affiliates.

Commissions are paid on each matrix position filled.

How much of a commission is paid out is determined by which matrix tier a Recharge and Get Paid affiliate has bought into.

Commissions quoted below are per position filled on each respective tier level:

  • Basic tier – ₦1000 on level 1, ₦500 on level 2, ₦250 on level 3, ₦125 on level 4, ₦62.5 on level 5, ₦50 on levels 6 to 10
  • Bronze tier – ₦2000 on level 1, ₦1000 on level 2, ₦500 on level 3, ₦250 on level 4, ₦125 on level 5 and ₦100 on levels 6 to 10

Owing to higher entry fees paid, higher commissions are paid out at the Silver and higher tiers.

At the time of publication however Recharge and Get Paid do not disclose Silver and higher matrix tier commission rates on their website.

A “Leadership Bonus” is also referenced on Recharge and Get Paid’s website but again no details are provided.

  • Basic – ₦5000
  • Bronze – ₦10,000
  • Silver – ₦20,000
  • Gold – ₦30,000
  • Diamond – ₦40,000
  • Platinum – ₦50,000
  • Executive – ₦100,000

Conclusion

Recharge and Get Paid markets itself as “the simplest, easiest and fastest way to achieving wealth.”

In reality it’s nothing more than a pyramid scheme.

Recharge and Get Paid appears to bundle recharge cards with entry into its recruitment-driven business model.

Bundled products do not justify the paying commissions on recruitment. When 100% of the commissions paid out by an MLM company are tied to recruitment, said MLM company operates as a pyramid scheme.

As with all pyramid schemes, once affiliate recruitment dies down so too will commission payouts.

This will cause Recharge and Get Paid to collapse, resulting in the majority of affiliates losing money.
